Multi-Print Manager Applet

The Pentad Systems Multi-Print Manager Applet is a great tool when an AutoCAD or SolidWorks Designer/Engineer needs to print out a large amount of Drawings related to a Job Number.

Instead of clicking on each Drawing and printing one-by-one, this Applet searches a SQL database for drawings that are related to the parent Job Number.

Required Elements:
     The Computer must be connected to a Network.
     EDrawings 2008 and EDrawings EPI must be installed.

Functions:
     The Multi-Print Manager Applet has three functions:
            a. Prints Drawings related to a Job Number
            b. Prints Drawings related to a Job's Parent
            c. Prints Drawings from an Excel Spreadsheet with the Drawing Numbers

Data Storage:
      All of the drawing data (parents, children, drawing numbers, etc) are saved in a temporary Access Database table when the Job Number is queried for the related Drawings. These temporary tables make no changes to any other database of consequence. It reads information from network databases but never writes back to them. The local (temporary) tables can be cleared and overwritten without affecting the program.
      When the Access database for the Print Manager is opened, the user is presented with one form to direct the drawing to either a Job Number, a Job Number's Parent, or an Excel file.

1. Where the Job Number is entered
2. Clears the temporary tables in the Access database for new Drawing data to be populated.
3. Searches for the Job Number in the database and finds all of the Drawings related to the job number, populates the Drawings table with those drawings.
4. Searches for the Job Number in the database and finds all of the Drawings related to its' parent, populates the Drawings table with those drawings.
5. Prints the populated Drawings in the temporary Access table. Checks the format of the drawings for .prt, .slddrw, or .dwg file extensions. If the Drawing number either has no related drawings or the drawings are .prt files, it will list them on the Missing report and not print them. Before it prints, it separates each type of file between three tables: SlddrwFiles, DwgFiles, and Missing. It will first print the .slddrw files, then the .dwg files, then will print the Missing report.
6. This is an Active X control that is essential for printing the drawings. It gives a preview of each drawing as it is being printed.

**NOTE** This application only functions with AutoCAD or SolidWorks Drawing files (.dwg and .slddrw).
